Who we are
ReptiTools is a free tool website for reptile and exotic pet keepers, created by a group of hobbyists who have kept geckos, snakes, lizards, tortoises and arthropods. We believe keepers do not need "more articles" — they need tools that are accurate, fast and genuinely useful. How to set a temperature gradient, how much humidity is missing, how many grams to feed, what day the eggs will hatch — these calculations should take under a minute.
Why we built this site
Reptile information online is scattered across forum threads and videos; beginners often spend hours stitching answers together, and still see contradictory advice. We turned the highest-frequency situations into 21 local tools and 24 species profiles: every calculation runs inside your own browser — no sign-up, no data upload, no accounts. Our goal is simple: give every keeper a tool to lean on at every step, so fewer animals are lost to preventable mistakes.
Our commitments
- Free: core tools are free forever, unlimited use, no paywalls.
- Privacy: the site collects no personal data. Settings, favorites and records stay only on your device.
- Compliance: we flag CITES-listed species and common US, UK and Canadian rules, and promote legal, responsible keeping.
- Transparency: all data is labelled as reference values based on published care guides, and we remind you to judge by your actual animal.
Data notes
Temperature, humidity and feeding figures come from published care guides and keeper practice, and represent general reference ranges. Every individual, climate and setup differs — treat your own animal's condition as the final authority. Nothing on this site is veterinary advice.
